Converse Wins Top Delegation at 2025 Model Arab League Conference in DC

Converse took the overall top delegation at the National Model Arab League (NMAL) conference in Washington, DC,
Converse, representing Oman, took the outstanding delegation in six of the nine venues, with two distinguished and one superior award. Converse and its friendly rival Northeastern University were both designated the Outstanding Delegations. This completed a season where Converse won awards in each committee in all three competitions.
This was accomplished under the leadership of two remarkable head delegates Pashion Israel ’25 (Nisbet Honors) and Converse’s first male head delegate Jerome Harris ’25.
Converse also chaired three councils and Kimberlain Williams ’25 was named superior chair, while outstanding chair went to alumnus Jack Stokes ’24, a virtual institution in NMAL. Stokes now competes as a graduate student at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Affairs after four years of winning awards at Converse. Gretchen Berry ’25 (Nisbet Honors) served as an assistant secretary general.
Allie Manning ’28 was selected to chair the social committee, Kaylee Warner ’25 will chair the political committee, Kimberlain Williams will be the secretary general and Lynn Hanchon ’25 will serve as an assistant secretary general for 2026. With eight members of Model Arab League graduating, Converse looks forward to the Fall 2025 incoming freshmen to help us continue our 38-year-winning tradition.
