We offer an environment where your opinions are valued and supported; strong academic programs in the arts, sciences, and education; a low 12:1 student-faculty ratio; and unique opportunities for student and faculty research.

We value creativity, innovation, and transformation. Every student has the opportunity to participate in experiential learning while at Converse—things like internships, student research, leadership development, community service and study-travel.

Students who have completed 30 hours of general education courses at Limestone will receive full credit toward Converse general education requirements.

The Limestone courses must include the following:

• One Humanities or Fine Arts
• One Math or Science
• One Social or Behavioral Science

Converse is proud to offer the Saints Scholarship to all eligible Limestone University transfer students. Award amounts offered are up to $22,000 based on your GPA and the number of credit hours completed at Limestone.

Converse is proud to offer the Knights Scholarship to all eligible St. Andrews University transfer students. Award amounts offered are up to $22,000 based on your GPA and the number of credit hours completed at St. Andrews University.

To ensure you remain on track to graduate, Converse is minimizing the number of credits that must be taken at Converse from 42 down to 30. This change honors the work you’ve already done and ensures no unnecessary delays in completing your degree.

Participating in Converse’s many clubs and organizations is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills, and to effect positive change in our community. Our student organizations evolve from year to year. You even have the opportunity to start your own club or organization.

We recognize that your current living situation may not align with our typical housing requirements. Converse will offer housing exemptions for:

• Spartanburg County residents living with their parents or guardians

• Limestone students only: Cherokee County students who currently commute to Limestone and live with their parents or guardians*

• Limestone students only: Students with a pre-existing, signed lease*

*Formal documentation will be required.

These exemptions allow you to continue your education with as little disruption as possible.

Converse offers the Nisbet Honors Program, a competitive, invitation-only program for high-achieving students. We evaluate transfer students one by one.

We will give Limestone & St. Andrews students in honors programs currently priority attention if they email Drs. Laura Brown or Edward Woodfin, Co-Directors, to indicate interest in Converse’s Nisbet Honors Program.
