The Converse volleyball team is coming off a historical season, which saw the Valkyries claim their first Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship and their first NCAA Regional appearance. Converse also reset the record books for wins in a single season with 23. Individually, the volleyball team had a trio of players named to both the Conference Carolinas All-Conference and All-Tournament Teams. Graduate Student Mackenzie Day, earned Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year honors, Conference Carolinas Tournament MVP Honors and All-America honors by the D2CCA. Day, along with Megan Carpenter, and Tori Barr were all named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. The volleyball team was named Team of the Year at the annual Valkyrie Choice Awards at the beginning of May.
